Don't know if you can see the tiny white dot just under the cloud bank but that's the moon coming up. The pink tint to the bottom clouds is the sunset reflecting off the clouds. What an incredible sight to see - the full moon rising along with the reflection of the sun setting!
God's creation is truly wonderful and His gift of the sun to light and bring life giving warmth to the day and the moon to bring light to the night and set the tides just amazes me.
When I saw this I almost felt like the 2 had their time cards in hand; the the sun was clocking out while the moon was clocking in. And I was privileged to see it happen. He's so good to me.
Yesterday's sunrise was quite beautiful. I was up early while all was dark and observed lightening in the clouds off the coast. "Hmmm. a storm" I suspected. Nothing came onshore but the activity farther out to sea made me anxious to see the sunrise. I am beginning to long for clouds on the horizon because I know the sunrise will be more spectacular. The storms in my life point me to the one who calms those storms and even brings good from them while the storms at sea never cease to show me that through the struggles at sea, God brings unbelievable beauty.
I'm beginning to appreciate the storms on both fronts!

The Blessing of a Bed!
Labor Day Mike and I decided we didn't want to add "doesn't sleep well at night" to any future resumes so we started looking for a new bed. The first store we checked out had some pretty unbelievable deals. We had a very nice young man patiently show us all the great deals and I sat on beds, looked at prices, laid on beds, looked at prices and looked at prices again. Even though the deals were great, they were still about $2000 more than we had to spend on a mattress and boxed springs. Suddenly I noticed a Serta Memory Foam Queen sized bed set originally priced at $3499, sale priced at $2999, slightly damaged and for sale for $799! Needless to say we bought the set. Except for the boxed springs jumping out of the back of the borrowed pick-up truck on the way from the warehouse (that's a story for Mike's blog) we have had great sleep and are so grateful for this amazing gift from our amazing Father. God even cares about my sleep. He's so good to me!!

Storms
Here I sit in our new place of habitation listening to the wind furiously blowing outside. Being less than 50 yards from the Atlantic Ocean with a Nor'easter blowing and only a sand dune as protection can be a bit unnerving! But God has proven time and time again throughout the past year that raging storms are simply hiccups to Him. In twelve months we have packed up and moved from a villa in Morocco to a cottage in Central Florida, from Central Florida to a hotel room at Sea Walk Hotel in Jacksonville Beach, from Jacksonville Beach to a mini apartment in Atlantic Beach. It seems that we are now in a place of permanence.....at least for the moment. Although the place I lay my head at night may sometimes feel foreign, I always know the One Who holds me and I can hold tightly to Him in any storm!
It is my prayer that you will read this blog and be blessed as you follow my journey.
